What is GaganYaan?

Gaganyaan is India's first human spaceflight mission, being developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The mission aims to send a three-member crew to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for a period of up to seven days.




Gaganyaan programme aims to send humans into space on a Low Earth Orbit of 400 km for three days and bring them safely back to the Earth.

When was Gaganyaan launched?

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Which robot is used in Gaganyaan?

Vyommitra is a female-looking humanoid robot being developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation to function on-board the Gaganyaan.
